Funny girl Paula Pell is both an actress and a writer, with impressive credits in both categories. Behind the scenes, armed with a pen and a wicked sense of humor, she’s written for more than 300 episodes of Saturday Night Live, ranging from 1995-2020, as well as episodes of 30 Rock, Hudson Valley Ballers and Mapleworth Murders. She’s even won an Emmy for her scribing on SNL. Blonde and bold, she’s translated her talents to the screen, and made her way on camera as Paula Hornberger on 30 Rock in random episodes from 2007-2013, in various roles in over 65 episodes of SNL, as Erika in Love in 2017-2018, in Girls5Eva in 2021 as Gloria McManus, and in A.P. Bio as Helen Henry Demarcus from 2018-2021. Paula has made waves on the big-screen front, too, popping up in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014), as Dana in the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler comedic romp Sisters (2015), and Other People (2016). Sticking by her SNL friends Amy and Tina, plus Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, and Maya Rudolph, the comedic queen partied with the gals in the Netflix original movie Wine Country (2019). It’s a Napa Valley girlfriends’ romp directed by Ms. Poehler, and there’s a whole lotta fun that goes on—including one scene where the ladies party hard and get rowdy.
